Men's Club Championship

Congratulations to this year’s Club Champion, Mark Greenall with a gross score of 155 over 36 holes (pictured left)

Well played to this year’s Club Champion with the best net score, playing off a handicap of 14, is David Norris (pictured right) with a score of 143.

Guest non-golfer fun 9 hole competition

Invite a non-golfing guest, partner, parent, friend, neighbour or colleague to play 9 holes this Sunday 19th August for free. Turn up and play 1300 – 1430 or book a tee time in the shop, £2 entry per pair, yellow/ red tees.

The member will play all shots to the green and the guest will putt out. It’s all a bit of fun, maximum of 5 putts otherwise it could take all afternoon!

Best medal score counts, less half the members handicap. Prize presentation 4.30pm.

 Members roll-up this Saturday

Members old and new looking to meet other members for a game and or to get a handicap card marked, meet this Saturday 18th August, 1000 outside the Proshop.

Teams of 4 can now enter in the shop (there is also a singles list for those who want to play but do not have a team). Texas Scramble starting with a shotgun start at 1pm.

The entry cost is £5 per player and most importantly the fancy dress is ‘something beginning with B’. Pay as you go family BBQ from 5.00pm

 Did you know..........

During the senior’s friendly at Swaffham last week, Phil Barker and Andy Keyes were playing in the final 4, the only Middleton winners in a 4 1/2 to 1 1/2 defeat.

Nothing remarkable in that, but what was amazing was that they BOTH got eagle 2 at the 390 yard par 4 2nd hole!

Phil was not so fortunate playing the 7th hole in the 1st round of the club championship!

Senior's Open

So far half the number of members have entered this year compared to previous years.

Seniors Open, Friday 31st August, Better Ball Stableford, separate prizes for visitors and members. Yellow tees 90% handicap allowance, coffee and bacon roll, plus two course carvery.

Entry as a pair of members £38 before 17th August at the office, no form filling needed.

Single player needed, contact the office.

The bees have been busy this summer and have produced 80 jars of natural runny honey from our on-course hives. For sale at the bar whilst stocks last only £5 per jar. All proceeds are going back to the bee keeper to support the organisation.

Sunday Lunch carvery

Carvery this Sunday £9.95, to book please call 01553 841800.
